Dementia is a syndrome ­ usually of a chronic or progressive nature ­

in which there is deterioration in cognitive function (i.e. ability to

process thought) beyond what might be expected from normal ageing

(WHO 2015).

Forgetfulness.

Getting lost.

Poor concentration. 

Emotional changes.

Difficulty finding words (especially names & nouns).

Feeling depressed but

Decline in mental functioning (e.g.
