Training and awareness programmes.
Colour coded waste segregration areas in all canteens.
Tunnel arisings and excavated materials from the LVI classified as by-products
under Article 27 of the European Communities (Waste Directive) Regulations, 2011
and reused at Coolturk Quarry and Kilcommon GAA pitch.
Wastewater generated during tunnelling works was transported via tanker to
licensed Wastewater Treatment facilities

Noise
Noise Modelling carried out for potential noisy activities and all night time
construction (Tunnelling, Umbilical Pull-in and Commission )
Target level for design purposes was 35 dB(A) at Nearest Sensitive Receptor
Sentinel Noise Management System installed prior to tunnelling works
Real time information available to contractors .
Noise reports provided on a daily basis to monitor compliance
Play back of audio files to verify noise sources for elevated levels

Environmental Monitoring Jan-April 2016
Ecological Ongoing ecological monitoring being undertaken as outlined in EMP.
Geotechnical Geotechnical monitoring is ongoing as per geotechnical hazard risk
reporting. Reports submitted on a bi-monthly frequency, no unexpected
variations recorded during recent observations.
Complaints
There were no written complaints during the reporting period.
CORRIB GAS DEVELOPMENT Report for Onshore Pipeline Project Monitoring Committee Meeting on 13th April 2016. Prepared by Mr. Padraic Walsh, Senior Engineer, Project Manager for Mayo County Council.
• Environmental Monitoring Works at the Aughoose site are complete and the reinstatement of the site is now also complete with just some planting yet to be carried out. Works at Glengad on the LVI facility are complete and reinstatement works have also been completed. Reinstatement and landscaping works on the pipeline wayleave from Aughoose to the terminal site are complete. The works have been subject to ongoing monitoring by Mayo County Council staff and by the developer in accordance with the agreed EMP. As all construction works and reinstatement have now been completed and as surface water runoff has reverted to it’s normal state the monitoring of surface water has ceased. Vibration monitoring by the Developer has ceased. The remaining noise meters have been decommissioned and noise monitoring has ceased. Mayo County Council has not received any complaints regarding environmental issues during this reporting period. • Roads and Transportation Movement of plant, materials and equipment associated with the onshore pipeline phase of the project has now ceased. All traffic movements to date have been carried out in compliance with the Traffic Management Plan. The final post works haul road condition surveys have been completed and work is underway on the preparation of a final haul road reinstatement programme.

Srahmore Site Operations: The site continuous to be stabilised and rehabilitated, with the site emissions well below the emission limit values to date in 2016. The water level in Bay 4 was raised to enable more stabilisation of the peat and to facilitate an increased retention time of surface water from the site. Upon verification of success following monitoring and assessment for stability and ecology, this will be extended to the remaining bays.
As of the 29th of March 2016 the Srahmore site is c ompliant with Waste
Licence W0199-02.
