From the underside of the crossbar insert the phillips screw into the hole provided and screw into the support legtosecurethelegtothecrossbar.

Insertthesupportlegintothecrossbars.

Collectallmountingpadssuppliedandidentifypositioncodesanddirectionarrowsoneachpad.Thearrowmustpointtothefrontofthevehicle.Therighthandsideisthedriver’sside.Themountingpadpositioncodeisasfollows:FL - Front Left Side Pad ML - Middle Left Side Pad RL - Rear Left Side PadFR-FrontRightSidePad MR-MiddleRightSidePad RR-RearRightSidePad

Insertthemountingpadintothemountingpadrecess.Usingthemountingpadlayoutasaguide,placethepadsonto their respective positions.

Remove the roof rack attachment point covers, exposed bolts and brackets. Store covers, bolts and brackets in a safe place. Note: The existing bolts and washers are not used to fit the mounting pads.

Placethe10mmlargeo-ringsontotheprotrudingplastictubes.

PlacetheM8springwasher,M8flatwasherand7mmsmallo-ringontotheM8screws.Ensurethattheo-ringisfullypushedupundertheflatwasher.Note: Forthefrontandrearmountingpadsusethe M8 x 50mm screws. ForthemiddlemountingpadsuseM8x40mm screws.

Inserttheassembledscrewsthroughthemountingpadsandscrewintothenutsertsinthevehicle’sroof.Tightenallboltsusingtheallenkeyprovided.Recommendedtighteningtorque6Nm.Do not over tighten.

Insertthesupportlegassembliesintothemountingpads.ThecrossbarsareidentifiedasFront,MiddleandRear,refertothecrossbarlayoutindiagram6.

Usetheallenkeytotightenthesupportlegattachmentscrewstosecurethecrossbars.Recommendedtighten-ingtorque3-4Nm.Do not over tighten.

PlacetheM6springwasherandM6flatwasherontotheM6 x 32mm security screw.

Important Information

RECOMMENDATIONSPleaserefertoyourfittinginstructiontoensurethattheRhinoSportzroofracksareinstalledinthecorrectlocations.ThevehiclesroofloadratingmaybelessthantheRhinoCommercialroofrackloadrating.Itisessentialthatallscrew/boltconnectionsarecheckedafterdrivingashortdistancewhenyoufirstinstallyourRhino-Rack.Screw/boltconnectionsshouldbecheckedagainatregularintervals(probablyonceaweekisenough,dependingonroadconditions,usage,loadsanddistancestravelled).YoushouldalsochecktheRoofRackseachtimetheyarerefitted.RoofRacksandaccessoriesshouldbecleanedandallscrewthreadsshouldbelubricatedatregularintervals.Thiswillhelpavoiddamagetoyourvehiclespaintsurface.Alwayscleanthevehicleroofandthemountingbracketsbeforefittingtheroofbars.Rhino-Rackoffersa3yearwarrantytotheoriginalpurchaserofRhino-RackSystemsandAccessories.Rhino-Rackcannotbeheldresponsibleforincorrectmountingoftheracksorforusagethatexceedsproductiontolerances.Make sure to fasten the load securely. Please ensure that all loads are evenly distributed and that the centre ofgravityiskeptaslowaspossible.

USE ONLY NON-STRETCH FASTENING ROPES AND STRAPS

SENSITIVITY TO CROSSWINDS, BEHAVIOUR IN CURVES AND BRAKINGThehandlingofthecarchangeswhenyoutransportaloadontheroof.Forsafetyreasons,werecommendyouexerciseextremecarewhentransportingwindresistantloads.Specialconsiderationmustbetakenintoaccountwhenbraking.

PLEASE REMOVE ROOF RACKS WHEN PUTTING VEHICLE THROUGH AUTOMATIC CAR WASH

LOAD RATINGSMaximumpermissibleloadis100kgpersetofthreebarroofracks(includetheweightoftheroofbars,5kg).When Roof Racks are to be used in off-road conditions, please build a safety factor of 1.5 into this load limit (67kgperset).AlthoughtheRoofRacksaretestedandapprovedtoAS1235-2000,Australianroadconditionscanbemuchmorerigorous.Increasingthenumberofcrossbarsdoesnotincreasethevehiclesmaximumpermissibleroofloading.

Removing Crossbars

WhenremovingtheRhinoSportzrack,unscrewtheattachmentscrewsandremovethecrossbars.Themountingpads can remain attached to the roof if desired. Store the Rhino Sportz aerorack and hardware in a safe place. Alternatively,useM6hardwaretomountM126coverplates(pleaserefertoseparateinstructionsheet).

Refitting Crossbars

Torefitthecrossbarassemblies,placethecrossbarsontothemountingpadsintheirpresetpositions.InserttheM6screwassemblyasperinstruction10,usingtheshortendofthesecurityallenkey,tightentheboltasrecommended in instruction 11.
