TIONCOMMUNITY CENTER
ROCHESTER, NYOverviewThe focus of this project was to create a community center on a former brownfi eld site which would respond to the unique site conditions and serve as an anchor point for the JOSANA neighborhood.
VisionTo design a building which would draw visitors through it, into the park and recreation areas. I placed the building on north-side of the site in anticipation of possibly acquiring the parking lot to the north and connecting to the main street. I also used the form of the building to defi ne entrances and a linear atrium to direct visitors through the building. The roof above the atrium features a saw tooth pattern to allow for optimum solar panel placement as well as connect to the sites industrial past.
Programs UsedAutoCAD, Photoshop, and Revit

MIXED-USE URBAN INFILLROCHESTER, NYOverviewThe focus of this project was to develop a mixed-use urban infi ll on the site of an existing parking lot. The project was to include a number of different spaces including residential, commercial, educational, and offi ce space.
VisionThough not required, I sought to create a design which obeyed both the zoning codes for the Main Street Corridor and Grove Street, while incorporating stylistic features of both areas. My design seeks to draw people from the community into and through the building, allowing for the creation of additional commercial spaces accessible from the atrium.

IONALUMNI HOUSE ADDITIONHENRIETTA, NYOverviewThe purpose of this project was to design an addition to the existing RIT Alumni House. The program specifi ed that the addition should contain a gathering spaces, four suites for visiting faculty/alumni, and a small exercise room.
VisionTo create a functional addition which would support but not dwarf the existing building. The roadside facade shows respect the aesthetic of the existing 1934 structure while the rear facade opens up towards the RIT campus, with a modern feel. This is to show the connection between the tradition of the past and the possibilities of the future which lie within education.

TIONFLOWER CITY COMMONS
ROCHESTER, NYOverviewThe goal of this group project was to develop a program and design for an existing building or buildings on a site in downtown Rochester. The design was to consider the unique position between the of the poorer neighborhood to the north and affl uent neighborhoods to the south.
VisionTo remove the non-historic one-story building to allow for passage between East Main St. and Division St., reconnecting the neighborhood to the north with the Main Street Corridor. Creating this passage between the two streets also allows for the creation of additional street frontage and outdoor space for the businesses.
Programs UsedPhotoshop, Revit, and SketchUp
