FIFTEENTH SUNDAY IN
ORDINARY TIME
JULY 12, 2020
How appropriate that in the middle of summer we hear readings from scripture
that speak of the fruitful earth. Looking around outside we likely see a caval-
cade of green. Trees and grass, plants and flowers are nourished by the summer
rain and sun. When we gather together here on Sunday our faith is nourished
by the Lord through word and sacrament. Let us pray that we may be rich soil
for the word of God to take root, bloom, and thrive across the earth.

HOLY HOUR & BENEDICTION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
The World needs our Communal Prayers—Join us on Wednesday Evening July 15 at 7 PM
Benediction is a great blessing for souls and for the honor of Jesus Christ who is Truly Present, Body,
Blood, Soul and Divinity, in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar.
This liturgy began in the 14th century, exposing the Blessed Sacrament for reverence and adoration.
By the 16th century, blessing with the Sacred Host was added. We are all invited to share in this

2020 Partners in Charity Appeal
We have reached about
65% of our Parish Goal
Once a year, we commit ourselves to this
ongoing work by supporting this life-giving
appeal. We reflect on God’s great generosity and respond with generous
giving of our own. With your support, faith in action is visible every day
in the compassionate outreach of Catholic Charities, to the least among
us; in prayerful witness of our retired priest and the joy of new priestly
vocations; to the many diocesan ministries and programs that heal, teach
and care for others.
It is important for all of us to participate in order to support our mission
as a diocese. Please be as generous as possible. If you have already
made a gift to the 2020 appeal we thank you! Your gift will help us in
reaching our parish goal.
Please make your gift online at: www.partners-charity.net You may
also mail in your donation to us:
This weekend & next, 13 students in
our 2nd Grade Faith Formation
Program will receive the Sacrament of
the Eucharist for the first time. Please
keep them in your prayers as they take
these final steps toward receiving the
Blessed Sacrament. May God Bless
them all!!
