A small-format publication documenting the design process of a new art school in Iowa by architect Steven Holl

The design of Hybrid Instrument was an opportunity to escape from the strictures of designing a series of books. Given the size and scale of the project, the format allowed for the generous display of preliminary watercolors, developed working drawings and final photographs of the completed building.
