PhysiotherapyNationwide quality assured network
Designed for use in fast-track injury claims, our practitioner-led service
deploys the very latest guidance for the rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries
via a range of web, telephone, face-to-face and self-help interventions.
The claimant can be reassured with Argent because all our physiotherapists
are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and have been
clinically audited prior to joining our network. Claimants can access one of
over 2,000 clinics located throughout the UK or be assessed at their place
of work or home.
Argent’s proprietary triage software enables our staff to thoroughly assess
and recommend the claimant’s treatment needs without the involvement
of a medical expert report. Having established the need for treatment,
triage data is electronically transferred to an appropriate physiotherapist
reducing time and duplication whilst improving the security, speed and
accuracy of reports.
We acknowledge all referrals within one working day, offer an initial
appointment within three working days of contact and provide treatment
reports within five working days of the session taking place.
• Over 2,300 chartered physiotherapists
• 3.5 miles average distance travelled to appointments
• Over 90% patient satisfaction ratings
• Refer without expert medical report

Psychological ServicesImmediate access to psychological therapies
Many injury victims require access to talking-based therapies as part of their
recovery or future needs. Psychological interventions can offer rapid relief
from many common mental health conditions and Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy (CBT) in particular, is a highly evidenced-based intervention. CBT
has been proven to be effective for managing depression, anxiety, traumatic
stress, eating disorders and many other behavioural disorders.
Argent has a national network of over 500 accredited CBT practitioners
who work to standard service levels. This enables us to confidently provide
services for the majority of claimants including those with more complex or
chronic health issues wherever they are based.
You can access our psychological services either as a standalone
intervention following a medical opinion, or as part of a wider rehabilitation
programme.
All of our practitioner’s outcomes and performance is audited by Argent’s
in-house clinical governance team to assure you that claimants will receive
a consistent, high quality, effective service.

Pain Management Programme
Pain Management ServicePractical chronic pain management
Often medical practitioners will recommend or use the term “pain
management” in their reports but not specify a particular intervention. This
lack of clarity combined with the complexity of managing chronic pain
can present personal injury professionals with difficulties. To solve this we
have developed a fixed fee pain management assessment service to help
you understand exactly what interventions are required, their costs and
potential outcomes.
Pain management can refer to a broad range of interventions, ranging from
self-help programmes to surgical interventions. Argent staff will evaluate the
influencing factors which are helping to perpetuate the pain and provide you
with a practical bespoke pain management plan. This plan gives you the
ability to commission pain management with the confidence of knowing the
claimant’s exact needs, the associated cost and the length of time to deliver.
This service brings clarity and certainty to a problematic area of
rehabilitation.
• Fixed cost assessment
• Realistic pain management plan
• Clarity on cost and time
• Rapid access to service
Key Features
Treatment co-ordinationExpediating treatment provision
The treatment co-ordination service will shorten the time taken to deliver
the recommendations of medical experts or treating clinicians, avoid
unnecessary expense, and crucially, be co-ordinated with NHS-based
services.
In many cases, the primary need is to quickly co-ordinate and deliver specific
interventions e.g. MRI scans and surgical procedures. Our experienced team
of treatment co-ordinators have access to a national and diverse pool of
providers.
Our treatment co-ordinators are well-versed in obtaining and interpreting
medical opinions enabling you to delegate the implementation of this function
to Argent. Access to competitively priced treatment services will enhance
NHS provision and enable claimants to access the specific interventions they
need to assist their recovery.
The treatment co-ordination service offers you transparent pricing, avoids
unnecessary loss of earnings costs and ensures that the claimant is not
disadvantaged by any post claim NHS provision.
• Competitive and transparent pricing
• Quality assured supply chain management
• Referral receipt within one day
• Service co-ordinated with NHS provision
Key Features
Telephone case managementSupport for less complex injuries
This rapid access case management service is designed for people
requiring continued support during their recovery and return to work
but who do not require a face-to-face assessment. Our telephone case
managers work with the injured person, their representatives, employer
and compensator to ensure optimum healthcare provision in harmony
with the claims process.
A comprehensive telephone assessment will identify rehabilitation goals
and outline associated costs enabling discussions on funding to take
place. This offers you a quicker, lower cost service than a face-to-
face immediate needs assessment without compromising the levels of
support or evaluation of a claimant needs.
Telephone case managers work under the same principles as our face-to-
face case managers and are subject to the same rigorous levels of quality
control and audit procedures. Typically, clients who are supported by this
service are discharged within six to nine months.
• Shorter time to assessment and report
• Vocationaladvice&supportforpeopleoffworkmorethan6months
• Detailed rehabilitation goals and costs
• Rapid access to skilled case managers
Key Benefits
Rehabilitation Case Management (RCM)Enabling recovery and return to work
RCM is focussed on more complex injuries where it may take months, or
even years, for the injured person to return to their normal daily activities -
indeed for some they may never be able to return to their pre-injury status.
This pro-active, biopsychosocial service commences with a face-to-face
assessment either at the client’s home, hospital or place of work. From
this, a personalised rehabilitation action plan is created which addresses
the individual’s medical, social, domestic and mental health needs.
Our case managers are all employed by Argent (no freelance or contractors)
and have on average more than five years experience as a case manager.
This enables them to challenge and influence care pathways to achieve the
best possible outcomes.
A case manager will work with the claimant to an agreed set of goals
that are intended to be achievable and realistic for the individual. These
goals are documented from the outset and enable both the claimant and
defendant to understand what might be possible, over what time frame
and the likely cost.
Catastrophic injury case managementIndependence for life changing injuries
Our case management team also supports those who have suffered
catastrophic injuries where a person’s life has been changed forever. We
deploy specialist catastrophic injury case managers who understand the
wider social and lifestyle impacts and are expert at supporting injured
people and their families/dependants through this most challenging
of times.
When the worst injuries happen, you need to know that the right person
with the right skills is supporting the injured person. That is why all
Argent catastrophic injury case managers CVs are available from our
website for you to select or you can discuss with us the right person
for your case.
All our case mangers work within our clinical framework which
includes regular audits, peer reviews and end-user feedback.
For all catastrophic injuries, each case is reviewed
by our senior team leaders within a case clinic
review model.

Incident ManagerCapturing and responding to workplace events
Recent reforms to casualty claims have brought even greater focus on the
need for early notification of workplace events. Incident Manager gives
employers and their insurers the ability to respond pro-actively to accidents
by logging them where Argent or your own claims technicians will be alerted
to the event.
Incident Manager has been shown to reduce employers’ liability notification
times to an average of 10 days. This enables early liability decision making
and rehabilitation intervention to pro-actively mitigate potential claims.
Using our online Incident Manager facility, you can centralise the recording
of workplace accidents or absence events and share the event with all the
relevant parties including the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).
Incident Manager is an award winning, low cost solution for employers
and insurers who are seeking to be pro-active in their management of

We work on-site with employers and employees delivering a range of practical solutions designed to support return to work decisions. Where appropriate we facilitate a safe return via task re-designs or graded return to work plans.
2. Employment support – existing employerEmployees who are medically stable often require support in returning to work in either their previous or new role with their existing employer. Using practical return to work plans, which take on board any wider rehabilitation programme, Argent’s case
managers help match the capability of the individual with realistic employment options.
3. New employer support – new job, new employerFor those people who cannot return to their existing jobs we offer support in finding a new role.
Our Intensive Job Seeking Programme (IJSP) is a three-month programme. The service includes an initial face-to-face assessment, after which our vocational case managers provide participants with a structured programme. This is designed to ensure the person has strong job seeking skills that they will retain beyond the duration of the programme. The IJSP is designed to gain employment, rather than improve a individual’s technical or educational abilities.
