All physical settings such ass classroom, teaching an d learning aids, facilities inside and outside

the classroom

Safety, cleanliness, healthy, sense of

belonging and other humanity elements.

Classroom Management and Conducive Learning Environment

Multifaceted matter, concerns all aspects of life in school ; pupils

personalities and teachers craft and altitude ; physical facilities in the

classroom

Art or practice of managing pupils, physical facilities and activities

Factors that influence conducive learning environment

- Physical factor- Emotional factor- Social factor

PHYSICAL FACTORS- Concern mainly with the physical arrangement in the classroom-physical environment can promote an effective classroom management.

a) Seating arrangement: position of the teacher’s table, manner of arrangement of student’s desks

b) Physical facilities: location of teaching-learning aids, (projector,computer,video,charts)

c) Notice boards: management in terms of displaying information (up to date, relevance or not) SOCIAL FACTORS

- includes classroom rules and regulationsa) Age related differences: students’ demands and expectationsb) Ability related differences: motivation for learning differ

markedly from intelligent students to low ability studentsc) Sex related differences: different learning styles due to

different sex of students.d) Socio economic related differences: students from lower

strata tend to be lower in self-esteem.e) Culturally related differences: cultural variations arising from

socio economic factors will also effect effective classroom management
