APPENDIXQ. Who can join? The scheme is open to any accredited academic
institution: primary, secondary, higher education (two-year, four-year, technical and vocational) institutions throughout the world. In order to become a member, institutions must supply proof of their accredited status as education or further education organisations by their local authorities. To accommodate the various needs of academia, Microsoft has created benefits packages designed for different types of institution.

There are two membership years available based on when
a membership is activated. Microsoft IT Academy memberships run on an annual basis
with members having the opportunity to join (renew) during two different membership cycles.
