Morning Prayer Group for Parents
“Our greatest human dignity consists in being created by God
and called to live in communion with him.” Pope Benedict
XVI. On Monday September 25 at 8 AM, you are invited to
experience this union through Morning Prayer in the Chapel
(Liturgy of the Hours) with Msgr. Rick as well as SJE parents
and parishioners who will happily guide you through the
prayer book. Prayers and Psalms are recited and sung for 15
minutes. This is followed by solitary prayer time during which
we pray silently for our children, teachers, school, and
personal intentions. Feel free to stay for Mass at 8:30AM if
your schedule allows. Contact Patty Stroble for further
information at [email protected]. “We set forth our
petitions before God, not in order to make known to Him our
needs and desires, but rather so that we ourselves realize that
in these things it is necessary to turn to God for help.” St

What’s Purple Friday?
On designated Fridays (or Thursdays) students may wear
Ravens jerseys, shirts, or colors with their gym shorts or gym
pants and tennis shoes for a donation of 50 cents. The SJE
Student Council will designate the charity to which the
proceeds will be donated. Students also may wear purple
and/or black socks, ribbons, bows, and jewelry. The dates are
marked on the website calendar and highlighted in the weekly
update.
What’s Spirit Day?
Once a month on the Tuesday that we have our pizza lunch in
the church hall, we also have a special spirit day. Our student
council chooses a theme, and students can wear t-shirts, socks,
and hair accessories reflective of that theme with their gym
pants and tennis shoes. Our first SJE Spirit Day is
September 19 (Wear your favorite t-shirt.), and no donation
is required. The theme will change each month and announced
in the weekly update.
