Mark Patterson leads District
15 to conservative wins.THE CHAIRMANS CORNER
MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
-MARK PATTERSON
It has been a pleasure to serve as
Chairman for District15, since elected
in May 2010. I was elected Chairman
by the precinct committeemen, besting
former legislator Steve Smylie.
I nominated Rod Beck (former District
15 Senator and Senate Majority
Leader) to be the GOP Region
Chairman for Ada County. As the
Region Chairman Rod Beck has been a
positive force in getting conservatives
elected. Raul Labrador came to my
home for a fundraiser, while he was
running against the incumbent
Democrat Walt Minnick. My precinct was one of three precincts
in District 15 to come in as winners for
Raul Labrador in 2010. There is a lot
of work to do to win this District again
for Republicans, like Raul.
District 15 is targeted this year by
Democrats. Now that they have solid
majorities in the North End, East Boise
and the Orchard Street Bench, they
want to spread into West Boise, a
conservative area. I want all
Republicans to understand this.

DISTRICT 15 HAS NEW BOUNDARIES
District 15s boundaries have changed. The
northern boundary is Chinden Blvd. and
the southern boundary is I-84. It is bound
on the west by Eagle Road and east by
Maple Grove Road.
REVIEW OF LABRADOR VS. MINNICK 2010
District 15 was hotly contested during theLabrador v. Minnick race in 2010. Raul
Labrador won by 10 points statewide. In
District 15 the results were not as good for
Labrador. He received 44% and Minnick
received 48% of the vote. That means that
this district is 14 points off the state average.
Fortunately the most liberal precincts have
joined Distr ict 16 and some ve ry
conservative Boise precincts, including the
West Valley Neighborhood, have been
added to District 15.
GAS AND INFLATION
Have you noticed that the prices of
everything have been going up and up? Its
painful to fill up at the pump!
Recent gas price hikes are a result of
inflation and supply shortage concerns.
Conservatives should be concerned about
the constant inflation that our currency is
facing. Patterson is against corporate
bailouts and raising the debt ceiling that
cause inflation. Its not good for individuals,
families or businesses. The Obamaadministration is overseeing the greatest
increase in Federal Reserve inflationary
spending in US history. Mark has been
outspoken against the gas tax, and he is also
against deficit spending that raises gas
prices.
The only solution is to stop spending.
Surpluses must be returned to citizens and
the fat of government must be cut. Its not
about ideology; its about survival of the
American Dream.
Sound currency policy is the
best guarantee of financial
and price stability; Idahos
economy can be stabilized bycutting taxes and making
Idaho a fertile environment for
out-of-state entrepreneurs to
move their businesses here.

PATTERSON REFUSES TO TAKE
LOBBYIST MONEY
In the last election Patterson refused to
take lobbyist money. He will continueto refuse any lobbyist money in this
election. Mark believes that taking
lobbyist money could create a serious
conflict of interest. Dont you agree?
This is in stark contrast to Marks
challenger in the primary, whose wife is
a well-known lobbyist.
CALLS FOR MCGEE RESIGNATION
Patterson strongly believes in standing upfor conservative principles instead of justgoing along to get along. This is why Markstood up to ask for the resignation offormer Senator John McGee. Mark was the first elected official to publiclyask for the resignation, on the basis of onlysupporting legislators of good moral fiber. As a result the Idaho Republican Partypassed a vote of no confidence againstMcGee at the June 2011 convention.
PRO-BUSINESS LEGISLATION
Patterson wrote pro-business legislation
with Rep. Lynn Luker (H207a). This
bill was passed and signed in to law by
the Governor in May 2011.
The new law keeps city building
inspectors from requiring extensive andunnecessary upgrades to buildings
which arent dangerous. Thisencourages new companies to upgrade
their buildings and reduces government
intrusion into business.
"Patriotism is nosubstitute for asound currency."
- Grover Cleveland
Raul Labrador wins 2010 election. Former Senator John McGee Mugshot
Getting rid of McGee
was a big win for the
Party. The Party must
have leaders of moral
fibre. It was time for
John McGee to leave
politics and focus on his
family. Six months after
I c a l l e d f o r h i sres ignat ion, McGee
resigned. I hope the best
for him and his family.

The following quotes are takenfrom a column by Dan Popkeyin the Idaho Statesman3/7/2012.
Berch, a first-time
candidate in 2010,
behaved as if his race was
the most important inIdaho. In fact, he was
always a long shot.
Berch's...tenacity is
paired with insensitivity
to the time constraints of
others.
I came to cringe at
Berch's calls because he's
a bloke who loves to hear
himself talk... I foundmyself growling at
another call from Berch.
In 2010, Berch raised an
eye-popping $53,000,
compared to [the]
Republican's $28,000. But
Berch managed just 32
percent of the vote. Healso did the necessary
spade work, knocking on
thousands of doors, but
the district is just too
solidly Republican for a
Democrat to have a
fighting chance.
And, if that wasnt scathingenough, a well-known
Democrat Party member also
condemned Berchs personalityflaws:
Unfortunately he usually
crosses the line between
persistent and just plain
annoying. I find myself
dodging his calls and noteven wanting to open his
emails.-BlueGirlRedState3/7/2012
Berch will try to employ door-to-door campaigning in District15 and tell voters he ismoderate. But, the Democratagenda is the extreme agendaof Obama, Pelosi and Clinton.
Even Minnick carried Pelosisagenda. Berch is no different.
