REGISTRATION RENEWAL
• Application must be made by registration holder• Registrations are renewable every three (3)years and thus
valid for a three (3) year cycle.• Apply not later than 31 March of the year which the
registration lapses• Required documents for application:
– Form A with a signed declaration that the product compostion has not changed.
– Form C
– Proof of payment
– Two copies of labels and a COA (when required by Registrar)
• Applications received 30 days after expiry date are not considered.

LATE REGISTRATION RENEWAL
Application received between 1 to 30 April (received after 31 March) of the year registration lapses is considered as later registration renewal application
• Such an application must be made by the registration holder
• Required documents for application:– Form A– Form C
– Proof of payment
– Two copies of labels and a COA (when required by Registrar)
• Applications received after 30 April (late renewal period) are not considered.

LAPSED REGISTRATIONS
• If the registration holder did not apply for the renewal of the registration before 30 April (late renewal period) of the year the registration lapses , then the registration lapse.
• The office of the Registrar will issue a letter to the registration holder indicating that his/her registration has lapsed and he/she must cease selling such products with immediate effect.
• The registration holder will be advised ,on the same letter ,that he/she must apply for the re-instatement of his/her product (s) should he wish to continue retailing the product (s).
• The copy of the notice or letter is also forwarded to our inspectors so that that could enforce compliance.
• The re-instatement process takes between 3 to 6 months to complete.

CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION
• Required documents for registrations cancelled by
registration holder during the period of registration
are:
• a covering letter stating reasons for cancellation
– a completed Form B
– a completed Form C
– the current original registration certificate or an
affidavit in the case where the certificate has been
misplaced or lost

the stipulated processing period.

Some Common Mistakes
• Incomplete documents
• Commissioner of oath did not sign the declaration
• Inclusion - on the Form A (renewal application) - of
registrations that had lapsed or not renewed during the
previous renewal cycles.
• Inclusion - on the Form A (renewal application) - of
registrations that are still active and only due for renewal in the
next renewal cycles.
• Labels and Certificate of analysis not submitted (when required
by the Registrar)
