DownstairsHire of the downstairs area is $100 for functions (excluding BBQs).We welcome you to come and see our facilities and we will do everything possible to make your event enjoyable.

The Rockhampton Bowls Club caters for special functions such as wedding receptions and birthday parties, seminars, BBQs and Barefoot Bowls.
Great function facilities at competitive pricesWe operate a bar for all events and stock the most popular beers, wines and spirits. We will provide other specific drinks on request. Depending on your preference, we can operate with either a tab or guests paying for their individual drinks – or a combination of both.
Hire charges
If you are looking for a great friendly venue to host your wedding reception or special party then look no further than the Rockhampton Bowls Club.We have a large kitchen and a dining room area which can comfortably seat up to 100 people.We also have an additional lounge and bar area.Music from juke boxes or other means is welcome.
This area can comfortably seat up to 72 people and consists of a dining area, bar and kitchen.

BBQs & Barefoot BowlsGuests are welcome to enjoy our BBQ facilities and a game of Barefoot Bowls. Our menu consists of fillet steak, gluten-free sausages, onions, potato bake and salad, including tomato, lettuce, pineapple, cheese and beetroot.The downstairs bar is open and we can also supply nibbles (hot and/or cold) as required.Children are welcome but parental control is essential.We supply all bowls including rubber bowls for children.
CostsBBQ: $20 per head.Nibbles: $5 per head.Bowls: $10 per head.* No charge for children aged under 10 for BBQ sausage.** No charge for children aged under 15 for bowls.$100 deposit; minimum 15 people.
Additional information
BowlingWe have a synthetic green under a roof which enables play no matter what the weather brings.You are required to play in either flat soled shoes, bare feet or socks.Members are available to show you the ropes on the basics of the game.
PoliciesIn the unlikely event of a fire, or smoke alarm going off, there are two assembly points:* Victoria Parade end of the green adjacent to Mercure; or* Quay Lane adjacent to Motel 98.Smoking can only take place in the designated smoking area at the southern end of the clubhouse.Alcohol and/or food cannot be taken onto the green. Shelves are provided adjacent to the green.
BookingsIt is essential we receive an accurate number of guests booked for a function, BBQ or bowls for both catering purposes and so we can ascertain the number of volunteers required.
