•This Rotary assistance is likely to be required for many years.
•Funds for the purchase of bednets, insecticides and other consumables are being provided by AusAID and The Global Fund.
•AusAID will continue to provide funds for infrastructure with Rotary providing the logistic and manpower support to ensure the success of this vital part of the elimination of malaria in the Solomon Islands. Without Rotary volunteers it is unlikely that the building of houses and storage facilities could be achieved within a timeframe to allow the elimination program to be successful.
