This newsletter will be short and sweet. Our executive Board members werebusy traveling in September and so we opted not to have a meeting. Instead,
many of our membership were busy riding and driving their horses, camping outand wringing the very last bit of fun out of summer!
Fall arrived in the Basin and some wintry weather quickly followed. We endedthe last weekend in September with some snow! It's a good reminder for those
of us who live in snow country to get ready! I know that many of you will beworking hard to winterize your barns and dig out the tank heaters, horse
blankets and find those winter boots!
As you can see by our announcements and events calendar, SOHACC isn't quiteready to hang up our halters for the winter. The De-Spooking Clinic is coming upat the end of the month. Our Judi Dunn has chaired this fun event for a number
of years now. It's one of the few that SOHACC opens to the public, and wealways have a lot of fun with our October Spooky Themed obstacle course. This

year is a change of venue, and we'll be at the Klamath Equestrian Center. Wehope you'll come out and work your horse with us.
Congratulations!
Congratulations are in order for our SOHACC President Michael Wakefield who has earned a Certificate from the Carriage
Association of America as a Level 3 Driving Evaluator. The Certificate was presented to Michael at the CAA Conference this
