“Lord it is good for us to be here”, are the words of St Peter at the Transfiguration. They express how we felt last
weekend as we celebrated Mass in the church as the parish community of St Paul’s. Thank you to all who
have come for Mass, please pass on the word to others in our parish that you know. Tell them what it was like,
invite them to come with you.For those who are still shielding at present, if you would like Holy Communion
brought to you at home please let us know and we will make the necessary arrangements.
Cardinal Vincent also reminds us that the obligation to come to Sunday Mass is lifted so he suggests you
might come during the week instead when we don’t have as many people
Please note the times of Masses:
These will be the times of Masses until further notice. The main doors of the church will be opened 15minutes before Mass begins.
In response to Government guidance and for your safety, we will be asking for your contact details before you come to mass, so that
individuals can be notified in the event of any suspected Covid-19 case. The guidance clearly states that parishioners and visitors may opt
out of sharing their name and contact details. Thus, no one should be compelled to provide their name and number f they do not wish to
do so. Please visit our Parish Website for details https://parish.rcdow.org.uk/woodgreen/test-trace/

KEY THINGS TO REMEMBERWHEN COMING TO THE CHURCHFOR MASS
It is important to note that the celebration of
our Sunday Masses will be more like a
weekday. At present we can have no singing
in church and the Mass should last no longer
than 30 minutes.
Please be patient at the time of Holy
Communion - remain in your seat, until you
are asked to move by one of the stewards.
Parking will be available in the school
playground at the weekend - we would ask
that you walk around to use the main door
of the church on Station Road.
The toilets will be closed until furthernotice. All parishioners are asked to wear a face
covering. (We will no longer be providingmasks after this weekend 12th July. For those who wish to go to confession
please call to arrange a time to come. We are
unable to hear confessions on Sunday before
or after Masses.
If you are displaying symptoms or have
displayed symptoms of Covid19 or been in
contact with someone who has displayed
symptoms within the last 14 days you should
not enter the church. If you are over 70, have
a pre-existing health condition or have been
shielding please consider very carefully
whether now is the right time for you to take
this step.
We are taking all the precautions we can to
ensure a Covid19 safe environment but we
cannot completely eliminate all risk.We want
assure you that we have made the church as
safe a place as possible for us to gather in
prayer and to celebrate Mass.
Thank you to those who have volunteered to
help with stewarding and cleaning of the
church. Please consider giving your help in
this way.Without your help we will be unable
to continue celebrating the Masses.
Members of these two teams should be
deemed healthy and fit prior to
commencement of volunteering.
At present this excludes those who are deemed
vulnerable (over 70 years, and/or with certain pre-
existing health conditions, self-isolating or shielding).
This may change.
If you can help with this please [email protected] or call 020 8888 2390. Welook forward to seeing you back at St Paul's Church.
Here are some words of Pope Francis on the Gospel we
will have at Mass this weekend 12th July.
“This parable speaks to each of us today….it reminds us
that we are the land where the Lord tirelessly throws the
seed of his word and his love. What is our disposition
when we receive it? How is our heart?......It’s up to us to
become good soil….”.

We have now sent all the Planned Giving Envelopes by
post. If you haven't received your box please call the parish
office. Our apologies to those parishioners who have been
asked to pay an extra £1.50 (not all people have been
asked) by the Post Office. One package was taken to the
Post Office to be weighed and measured for the correct
postage, before we posted them out to everyone.
As we have had no collections in church since March we
hope you will consider continuing to support St Paul's
Church at this time of crisis. We are cutting costs where
appropriate but it would be of immense help if you would
consider supporting the parish by setting up a regular
standing order or you can do a BACS payment if you prefer.
