-Ka a forms stron ri id els in the resence of
potassium ions. (Kappaphycus Alvarezii /Eucheumacottonii)
-Iota forms soft gels in the presence of calcium ions.
(Eucheuma Denticulatum /spinosum)-Lambda does not gel, and is used thickener.(Gigartina)
