On October 23 2011, the first TD‐LTE+TD‐SCDMA/GSM Multi‐mode Dual‐Radio
Single‐USIM Smartphone was released in ITU TELECOMWORLD 2011 and

Single USIM Smartphone was released in ITU TELECOM WORLD 2011 and
successfully showed diversified services with the actual GSM network in
Switzerland and TD‐LTE demo network deployed by ZTE. During the demo, the users
can experience concurrent voice service over GSM and high‐speed data service
over TD‐LTE. The smartphone solution was provided by MediaTek and the product
was co‐developed by CMRI and MediaTek.

World’s First TD‐LTE/WCDMA/GSM MiFi
On November 2011, the first TD‐LTE/WCDMA/GSM Multi‐mode MiFi successfully
passed testing with TD‐LTE network deployed by Huawei. During the test, a few
tablets and laptops were connected to MiFi through WiFi to share high‐speed data
applications from TD‐LTE network. The chipset was provided by Qualcomm and this
multi‐mode MiFi was co‐developed by CMRI and Quanta.

World’s first TD‐LTE integrated micro base station EBS5132D was provided by DatangMobile in the end of Q3 2011, and mainly used for blind spots and hotspots coverage. EBS5132D looks like a RRU but includes baseband, main control, backhaul

g , ,and all RRU functionalities. EBS5132D can be deployed outdoor directly without any room space. On Dec 9 2011, 28 key test items were successfully finished for the product covering almost all RF and hardware key specs. The test results show that EBS5132D is qualified for outdoor field trial.

At the end of Oct. 2011, all 7 infrastructure vendors (Alcatel‐Lucent, Datang, Ericsson, Huawei, Motorola, NSN, ZTE) and 3 chip vendors (Hisilicon, Qualcomm, Innofidei) finished the 1st phase of China TD‐LTE large‐scale trial. 3

PRC) announced to launch the research and development of TD‐LTE equipment on
