1. PURPOSE
1.1 The purpose of this Facility Connection Requirements Procedure is toestablish facility connection and performance requirements to avoidadverse impacts on reliability of the Bulk Electric System (BES), inaccordance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation(NERC) standard FAC-001.
= PROCEDURE
2.1FAC-001 requires Transmission Owners (TO) to document, maintain, and publish facility connection requirements to ensure compliance andaddress connection requirements for Generation facilities,Transmission facilities, and End-user facilities. The 500kV transmissionlines owned by TransAIta Centralia Generation (TACG) are utilized forinterconnection between existing generation facilities, owned andoperated by TACG, and the Transmission Operator (TOP) BonnevillePower Administration (BPA). There are no other facilities thatinterconnect to TransAIta's High Voltage (HV) system.
2.2 In the event any generation facility, transmission facility, or end-userfacility desired to interconnect to TransAIta's HV system, they would berequired to satisfy BPA's Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT).The OATT and, more specifically, the documents that are incorporatedas attachments, or by reference, within the OATT establish thenecessary requirements for interconnection to the BES. Thosedocuments include:
• Attachment J-Interconnection Procedures.
• Attachment L-Standard Large Generator InterconnectionProcedures (L G IP) including Standard Large GeneratorInterconnection Agreement (L GIA).
• Attachment N-Standard Small Generator InterconnectionProcedures (SGIP) including Standard Small Generatorinterconnection Agreement (SGIA).
• Technical Requirements for Interconnection to the BPATransmission Grid S TD-N-O00001.
2.3Coordination of the application for point-to-point transmission service, related system impact studies, and interconnection procedures wouldbe coordinated through TransAIta's Centralia Plant EngineeringManager. Contact information for the Engineering Manager is:
