The Score is notated in C following the Guitar's traditional Scordatura.
Actual Scordatura:
Notes About Notation
The score is divided into seven (7) sections, each with an approximate duration:
A: 2'40" approx
B: 1'50" approx
c 2'15" approx
D: 2'50" approx
F: 3'10" approx
G: 3'10" approx
Total duration: 15'SO"approx
Some of the gestures have their own approximate duration, which is indicated as:
125" I= The approximate duration of the gesture is 25 seconds.
Since there is no meter, and therefore no barlines ( with the exception of double barlines toindicate the ending of each section ), the entire piece is measured in regular time ( minutesand seconds). Despite of this, some rhythmic figures and gestures have a specific tempo oftheir own which is indicated at the beginning of each of these gestures ( keep in mind thatit only applies to one, specific figure ).
In other parts notation is proportional to the spacing of each rhythm. Such spacing shouldlast at least 1" and should not exceed 5" depending on the note's rhythmic value.
Rhythms that are beamed and without a tempo marking are to be spaced equally withspeed left to the performer' schoice ( without drastically affecting the duration of an overallsection).

All harmonics are notated with diamond-shaped note heads and their placement isindicated by a circle containing information about fret ( in roman numerals) and string ( anumber within a smaller circle ):
iii
Allharmonics are notated an octave below their sounding "pitch" (they are actuallyovertones/ partials ).
Onthe last section (G), a new partial is introduced, and it is achieved via a "touch four."The player must fret a e# (IX) on the first string and then pluck the harmonic at the F#(XIV)a fourth higher:
