INTRODUCTION
Today’s focus is hyphens and dashes.
Hyphens join words to make one new word. Dashes are used as parentheses like commas or brackets to separate clauses.
Hyphenated words:
good-looking / man-eating / mother-in-law / emerald-green
Dashes: Nobody - not even the team leader - saw the victory coming!
Everybody - including children - had to stay inside.
