It's a beautiful day in SW12 with the sun beaming down onto Centre Court. Unfortunately for the fans packed in there they're not being treated to a beautiful game of tennis at the start. Nerves seems to have got the better of the two players in an error strewn first few games

Wimbledon men's final 2013: Novak Djokovic v Andy Murray

Andy Murray wins Wimbledon with emphatic victory over Novak Djokovic

The match gets under way and the players both hold serve early doors (though Murray did go 40-0 up on Djokovic's first service game)

The players exchange breaks of serve in the third and fourth games of the first set

... before claiming the first set 6-4

There's a curious moment when the umpire calls the ball out but the players continue regardless. When the ball eventually lands clearly out, Novak Djokovic goes to have an angry word with the official

Djokovic stretches to reach a shot. His athleticism is showing through as he breaks Murray and goes into a 4-1 lead in the second set

But Murray battles back and claims the second set 7-5

Murray's fine form continues into the early part of the third set, much to the crowd's delight ... but the Scot's run of eight wins from nine games is brought to a sudden halt as he loses four straight games to Djokovic, leaving him 4-2 down in the third set

Murray takes a 40-0 lead in emphatic fashion, but Djokovic saves three Championship points. Murray then saves three break points and closes out the game to win Wimbledon! A smidgen more than three hours of thrilling tennis which has littered with breaks of serve, and at the end of it all the Scot has earned the title he so desperately craved
