viewer

I used the ‘i’ key to ‘mark in’ and the ‘o’ key to ‘mark out’ – in the “viewer window”And then clicked and dragged the clip from the ‘viewer’ to the ‘timeline’

Click on the “A”

Then go to ‘text’ and ‘text’

In the viewer window, I clicked on “controls”

Then this window opens and I typed my text in here

Then I dragged the ‘text clip’ from the viewer to the ‘V2’ track on the timeline so it appears above the video clip – and over my ‘talking head’

To move the text in the‘canvas window’

I clicked here and then clicked on‘image and wireframe’

I made sure I had the text layer on the timeline selected – and then I dragged the text and placed it where I wanted in the canvas window

I double clicked on the text layer in the timeline

And then clicked on ‘controls’ again in the “viewer”

Then I dragged the “size slider” until my text was the right size in the “canvas window”
