AMANDA JANE KEELER

Healing spaces is a non-profit organization that aims to warm the hearts and bring joy to children with cancer and other serious illnesses by creating a unique healing environment in their home that minimizes the stress of hospitalization and gives them their own space to recover.

I was asked to design a room for Michael Rich a 13 year old young man who was recovering from Brain Cancer. With a limited budget

and three days a team from Union College and I transformed his once cluttered room into a space where Michael could recover and have a

serene, peaceful environment.

SECTIONAL CONCEPT SECTION

FUMEFume is an all organic restaurant based on the principals of creat-ing a meal from techniques that began 250,000 years ago, with the

development of a domesticated fire and the concept of hunting and gathering. Each meal will

provide a natural and nutritious balanced meal with ingredients that are purchased from local green markets and farms in the

tri-state. The design concept was derived from the simple times

when individuals gathered around the campfire to cook, socialize and keep warm. Fume is the heart

and soul of the hotel come nightfall and invites all guests and locals to enjoy an organic

experience.
