Fall Outing Our Lady of Lourdes Parish is hosting a 2-day excursion to St. Jacobs on Sept. 16 & 17. The price per person is $200, which includes travel on a deluxe coach, hotel room, double occupancy, including a hot buffet breakfast, pool and hospitality room, buffet dinner, a $40 tax receipt, plenty of time for shopping at the recently reopened Farmer’s Market, the Outlet Mall and the quaint downtown shops. (Get an early start on Christmas Shopping, ladies!) and, if time permits, a guided tour of the area. This promises to be a very popular outing, so please purchase your ticket early. Before Summer, Holidays and CottagesThe regular contributions received through the direct debit program really make a difference to the financial health of the parish. This new initiative has been embraced by an increasing number of our parishioners. Cursillo in the Archdiocese of KingstonAll Cursillistas are invited to a meeting to help re-establish the Cursillo movement in the Archdiocese. With the approval of Archbishop O’Brien, this is a call to all cursillistas to come together (Ultreya), to celebrate Mass, to experience small group reunion and participate in the re-founding of cursillo in the Archdiocese and go forward Sept. 26 at St. John the Apostle Parish. Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Marmora is hosting their Annual Parish Supper and Bazaar on Sun. July 19, 3-7 pm at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 38 Bursthall St., Marmora. The supper includes roast beef, pork and all the trimmings. Admission for the supper: adults $12, children (6-12) $5, and children under 6 are FREE. Takeouts are available from 3-6:30 pm for adult servings only. Along with supper, there will be a silent auction, games and white elephant table. Everyone is welcome!

French Boys Choir Concert at St. Mary’s CathedralThis boys and young men’s choir of thirty voices has performed at numerous International Congresses and in Dec. they will perform at the “Pueri Cantores” Congress in Rome where they will sing before His Holiness Pope Francis. As part of their 2015 Canadian tour, the choir will perform a concert at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Mon. July 13 at 7 pm. There will be a reception during intermission.
