Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me, herein you are my mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth! I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to answer me in this necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, show me herein you are my mother. Holy Spirit, you who solve all problems, light all roads so that I can attain my goal, you who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in all instances in my life you are with me. I want in this short prayer to thank you for all things as you confirm once again that I never want to be separated from you in eternal glory. Thank you for your mercy towards me and mine. The term Brachial Plexus Injury (BPI) refers to an injury to the complex set of nerves that control the muscles of the fi ngers, hand, arm, and shoulder. The Brachial Plexus can be damaged in a number of different ways including accidents involving high impact conditions but most brachial plexus injuries are sustained during birth from excessive force being applied to the baby’s neck and head resulting in stretch-ing and/or tearing of the Brachial Plexus nerves. Proper labor management would prevent a majority of these preventable ob-stetrical injuries. Please join us in raising awareness! (M)

Finding the Right Restaurant for Your Dinner Party Over the last couple of years, dining out has become an even bigger luxury than it once was. Thanks to the struggling economy, many people have decided to cut back on spending, and dining out has become casualty of such events.
While the economy is gradually rebounding, dining out is still largely reserved for special oc-casions among those whose memory of the recession is still fresh. However, dining out does remain a strong choice when hosting a special occasion such as a birthday party or anniversary celebration. When choosing a restaurant to have such a gathering, consider the following tips to ensure that rare restaurant night out goes off without a hitch.
* Look for versatility in a menu. When dining out, the emphasis is obviously on the food. Couples might enjoy certain restaurants they have previously patronized, but that does not necessarily make the restaurant ideal for a party. When shopping for a restaurant, look for one that boasts a versatile menu that can cater to a vast array of palates. Especially for larger parties, the versatility of the menu is very important. Restaurants that boast a large entree selection that includes meat, poultry, seafood, and even vegetarian dishes ensures each guest has options.
* Examine the elbow room. Because dining out has become such a luxury, comfort should be another key consideration. Look for a restaurant that provides ample elbow room so everyone can relax and won’t feel crowded.
* Be sure there are places to park. Chances are, most guests will be driving to the party. While it seems like an afterthought, the restaurant should provide ample, and ideally free, parking. Avoid restaurants that charge for valet service or inquire if such service can be included on the tab ahead of time.
* Reserve well in advance. If it’s a truly special occasion, be sure to begin the process of fi nd-ing a restaurant as early as possible and make a reservation the moment a decision is made. Reservations can always be cancelled should things not work out.

Dining on a DollarHow to Save When Dining Out
In the midst of the recent global economic struggles, dining out became a luxury many people decided they could no longer afford. Though families traditionally dine out less than anyone, in light of fewer funds, the trend to stay in for meals and save money extended beyond families to couples and singles as well.
Though the economy is gradually bouncing back, the impact of the recent recession is still fresh on the minds of many. While it’s important to watch spending, that doesn’t mean dining out must continue to be an unaffordable luxury. In fact, there are many ways to enjoy dining out and still save money.
* Look forward to Restaurant Week. Many larger cities offer some type of Restaurant Week, a week during which restaurants across a given metropolitan area provide lower prices to custom-ers as incentive to dine out and try new cuisine. Many restaurants offer prix fi xe deals, typically including three courses ranging anywhere from $25-40 per plate. This allows consumers to enjoy affordable meals at restaurants that might otherwise be out of the budget.
* Peruse restaurants online. Many restaurants allow people surfi ng the Web to join mailing lists via their Web sites. Such mailing lists provide e-mail updates on menu changes and special events at the restaurant, making it easier to schedule nights out on the town in advance. Some restaurants even offer exclusive discounts to those on their mailing lists, making it more afford-able to spend a night dining out.
* Look for coupons. Mailboxes are often fi lled with junk mail, but nearly everyone has received that envelope full of coupons at least once. While it’s easy to simply discard “junk mail” im-mediately, that envelope might just be the key to an affordable night out on the town. Many restaurants send offer coupons via such envelopes as well as the local newspaper, and these coupons often provide great deals.
Another place to look for restaurant coupons is a local entertainment book. While these books often must be purchased, those who truly put the book to use will save much more in the long run at restaurants as well as several local businesses.
* Take advantage of promotions. Many people scoff at restaurant promotions that might offer too little or seem too limited. However, for couples who haven’t had a night out on the town in a while, those promotions might be just what’s needed. Part of the fun of dining out is getting out of the house, so while that limited menu special might not be exactly what a diner is looking for, it is a more affordable way to hit the town and let someone else do the cooking.
While dining out might be a costly endeavor for families, couples or even singles, savvy diners can fi nd deals if they look in the right places.

Simple ways to save when dining out In light of the economic downturn of the last several years, many couples and families have chosen to forgo dining out in an effort to save money. Though such decisions may not have helped the restaurant industry, they have helped consumers save substantial amounts of money.
But couples and families who enjoy dining out don’t have to avoid such excursions entirely. In fact, there are many ways diners can save while still enjoying what their favorite restaurants have to offer.
* Practice portion control. Restaurant servings are often larger than those a person would eat at home, so practicing portion control by splitting an entree when dining out can be an ideal way to save some money. Restaurants typically charge a nominal fee to split plates, but that fee pales in comparison to the price of a second entree. Splitting an entree is also a good way for dieters to enjoy their favorite restaurants without overeating.
* Say so long to cocktails. Adult beverages typically make up a large chunk of the average restaurant tab. By skipping those pricey cocktails and choosing water instead, men and women can save substantial amounts of money. If water is too bland, ask the waiter to add a lemon wedge or a slice of lime to the water.
* Buy the local Sunday newspaper. The Sunday newspaper is often loaded with coupons for local businesses big and small. This includes local restaurants that, in light of the struggling economy, could be offering signifi cant discounts to diners in an effort to entice more people to enjoy dinner away from home. Buy the Sunday newspaper and peruse it for deals from favorite restaurants, just be sure to read each coupon carefully, as many are specifi c as to when the coupons can be redeemed. Also be on the lookout for special coupon books or mailers sent to the house.
* Finish the meal at home. Rather than buying dessert at the restaurant, make desserts at home. Kids can craft their own sun-daes, and parents will save on costly desserts. Set the timer on the coffee maker so by the time the family gets home from dinner, there’s a fresh pot of coffee waiting to accompany your homemade dessert.
* Consider a picnic at the park. Dining out doesn’t have to mean eating dinner at a restaurant. Couples and families can enjoy a night away from the kitchen by enjoying a picnic under the sun or stars at a nearby park. For families, consider a night camping in the backyard, complete with tents and a fi re to enjoy some s’mores.
* Dine out for lunch instead of dinner. One of the easiest ways to save when dining out is to dine out for lunch instead of dinner. Restaurants typically charge much less for lunch than dinner, and lunch portions are smaller than entrees available at dinner, helping dieters save some money and keep the pounds off at the same time.
Though it’s wise to save money while the economy continues to struggle, couples and families can still enjoy their favorite restaurants without breaking the bank.
