To whom it may concern,
During my traveling to Geneva, Switzerland to see my step mother who was diagnosed with cancer in 2006, I was not permitted entry due to visa problems. The Swiss customs officer booked me a ticket back to New York City flying with an overlay in London, I was being shipped back the same way I had come. Two police of-ficers took me on the plane while joking around and laughing at the film “Midnight Express”.
After traveling for 35 hours, I was back at home in NY. Humiliated, tired and frustrated I once again applied for another visa from the Swiss Consulate. This time I was told that I would not be granted a visa.
I had to gather letters from my step mothers doctors and hospitals to prove to the Consulate that I was no fugitive.
Yours sincerely,Devrim Kadirbeyoglu
