IMPORTANT: Change one shoelace at a time and use the other shoe as a guide.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO REMOVE THE REEL FROM THE BOOT Use the lace tool to remove the knob and laces. (SEE STEPS 3A - 3F BELOW)

Insert the lace tool into the hole in the reel as shown.The end of the lace tool will engage the hole in thebayonet locking arm.

With the lace tool, pull the locking arm away from thecenter of the reel and rotate the reel CLOCKWISE.

Press on the reel from the backside of the tongue topush it out of the bayonet.

Align the smallest metal tab on the reelwith the smallest slot on the bayonetand insert the reel into the bayonet.

Rotate the reel COUNTER CLOCKWISEabout 10 degrees until it “clicks” into place.

Now go to step 3G to install lacesand attach knob.
