Physics in Motion! Our 8th graders applied Newton’s Laws of Motion: the Law of Inertia, the formula to use in calculating force is force=mass x acceleration. Opposing forces, such as friction, can be added or subtracted from the total to find the amount of force that was really used in a situation. They also learned about gravity and natural force. They created sleds to test their hypotheses and find out whose design was the fastest.

The Virtue for the month of March is Temperance

– enjoying things in a proper, balanced way. St. Therese of Avilla St. Camillus Ven. Matt Talbot

It is said that we can learn all that we need to know by studying the lives of the saints. Consider studying these saints to find out more about temperance.

We so appreciated the “snack attack” snacks some very thoughtful parents surprised us with last week. The snacks were AWESOME! You’re the BEST!

The fifth grade field trip to Denver last week was a BIG SUCCESS! Our students, their parent chaperones, and teacher attended the Annual Archdiocese of Denver’s Fifth Grade Liturgy at the Cathedral. Fifth graders from across the archdiocese to celebrate mass with the archbishop. After attending mass, the children enjoyed the Wings of the Rockies Museum where they got to use a flight simulator and learn about aerospace and flight. Who knows, we may have a future astronaut amongst us.

Our kindergarteners are learning about mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and ocean life! Presenting what they know is an excellent way to demonstrate their level mastery of the content. Great work kindergarteners!
