• Types of Migration • Internal Migration: Internal migration refers to human

migration within one geopolitical entity, usually a nation.

• External Migration: External migration refers to moving to a new home in a different state, country, or continent.

• Emigration: Emigration is the act of leaving one's country or region with the intent to settle permanently in another.

• Immigration: Immigration is the movement of people into another country or region to which they are not native in order to settle there.

• Return Migration: When groups of people move back to where they came from.

• Seasonal Migration: The periodic movement of a

population from one region or climate to another in accordance with the yearly cycle of weather and temperature changes.
