Why Halogen?

Halogen is the most active of all elements. It is highly useful in our daily lives but yet, if used in a wrong way, highly poisonous. We see leadership in the same way. When used in the right way, it

brings about immense positive good to the people around us and the world we live in, but the reverse

can also be true.

Our mission is to inspire and influence a generation of young people who will lead themselves and

others well. Building young leaders the world over to lead well.

Overview of what HFS offer

Inspiration

Our events and talks are platforms to bring across the best in leadership education to students, young people and influencers alike. Since 2003, we have impacted and inspired over 60,000 participants through our

programmes and events.

Halogen Foundation looks beyond the input we provide to young people. We also look at the surrounding key influencers, such as principals, teachers and parents

who are able to communicate our leadership message to the young people.

We believe in a total development approach to youth leadership development and inspiring influencers as

leaders of schools is one such aspect.

National Young Leaders’ Day/National Primary Young Leaders’ Day

We can be a miracle hope for someone, even a smile or a

simple gesture can do great things. I also

learned to step out of my comfort zone

and dare to try. Don’t wait till tomorrow to do what you can do

today.

BRIDGET NGDunman High School

It was simply excellent. The existence of such support for

young and developing leaders has definitely strengthened our understanding of being leaders and exchanging views of different young leaders in Singapore. Opportunities are not limited. They are everywhere. Never give up, should you fall, pick

yourself up and try again! Being able to inspire your followers, making a difference in what you do and ultimately serve your purpose and followers

with compassion

It was really enriching and I learnt a lot more than what my

school would ever teach me. I’m really happy that I came.

At Halogen, we believe that every young person can be a leader and will be a leader at some point in their lives. Hence, leadership training should be made available to them. Our Young

Leaders Academy, YLA, provides structured and customised leadership development

frameworks for schools using our various leadership programmes.

We also organise and facilitate programmes for educators so that they will be equipped to meet the increasing role they need to play in the lives

of young people.

He (Martin) was great in engaging us and made the
