Dear Families and School Community,
I hope you all had a very enjoyable holiday. The weather was certainly very unpleasant and I know I
couldn’t get the gardening done that I wanted to.
Unfortunately Ms McManus has had her sick leave extended for another month. We send her our
best wishes and hope she is fit and well enough to return then.
This term will be a very busy term. The grade 5 and 6s have the lightning premiership on the 1st
August and parent teacher interviews, the school concert and athletic sports will be at the end of the term.
Parent Opinion Surveys.
This year’s parent opinion surveys have arrived. A random list of parent names is computer
generated to send these surveys to. As stated in previous newsletters these surveys are very important and
the data from these are used for school reviews and future planning for the school. To have a true reflection
of parents’ opinions we need a 100% return of these surveys. If you are lucky enough to receive a survey
please ensure you take the time to complete it and return it to school as your opinion is valued and it
represents the whole school community. In past years we have had less than 70% return and without a
100% return it may not provide the correct information.
Religious Education Permission Forms.
There have been changes made to the regulations on how religious education is to be provided in
schools. The students in grades 1/2/3 were given new permission forms that needed to be fill in and
returned by the end of last term. We are still waiting on a number of forms to be returned. Please return
them by Monday 21st July so that we can begin this term’s program.
School Council.
There is a school council meeting next week. The main agenda items will be the Priority Review and
reviewing some of our policies.
Lost property.
Please ensure all jumpers are named as there are a lot of unnamed jumpers in lost property at the
moment. Iron on name tags are available at the school office.
B ookclub
Issue 5 has been distributed to the
children.
Please note the closing date for
collection of orders will be next
Thursday the 25th of July.
