Lise Grendene is a Brazilian style icon and It girl. She is something of a world citizen, as from an early age she has constantly been on the move, seeking out new experiences and culture. Lise has lived in almost every fashion capital in the world: New York, Paris and Milan, where she studied at Institute Marangoni and fell even more in love with fashion. After her graduation she moved to the melting pot of London for work experience with Vivianne Westwood. Now she lives between London and Moscow but whenever she can, she flies back to her apartment in Rio de Janeiro for a taste of home.

Her style has been portrayed in many magazines in Brazil and abroad such as Vanity Fair Italy, Vogue And Harper Bazaar Brazil.

Lise’s fashion connections began at birth, as her father, Alexandre Grendene, owns a shoe empire bearing his name. One of its most famous brands is Melissa (see page 70), which over the years has enjoyed partnerships with designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, the Campana brothers - Fernando and Humber, Iranian architect Zap Hadid, Gaetano Pesce, Karim Rashid, Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler and Viviane Westwood. Grendene is also responsible for the Ipanema: a major flip-flop brand both locally and internationally.

Nowadays, Lise dedicates her energy and time to her website where she talks about style, fashion, arts, travelling and recipes, among other subjects. As a committee member of the charity Brazil Foundation, she also includes a ‘Do Your Part’ section on her site, where she talks about the projects she has visited, linked to citizenship, mainly in Brazil.

Lise has been an Ambassador for the Fragrance Armani Code in Brazil and her latest projects include fashion advising sessions for brands such as the Portuguese accessory company Parfois and a project with one of the coolest Brazilian e-commerces: Gallerist.
