The FA Module has processes that can make our job easier.

− DOE scheduled import of all SAIG files directly into Colleague.

− Batch ISIR import regardless of Message Class.

− Batch and individual linking of previously unlinked ISIRs.

− Review POP/MRRs inside of Colleague.

DOEI can be used to import, distribute and update Colleague.

− Sweeps the SAIG mailbox and imports all files to FTP.RECEIVE.DIR

− Distributes the received files in FTP.RECEIVE.DIR to the directories that update Colleague.

− Updates Colleague with data received from SAIG.

Run the PGAP if PLUS Loan applications are in the summary. Use to certify/originate PLUS Loans.

Run ESOA (Electronic Statement of Account). Auditors and AR/Finance like.

Run TMSR (Transfer Monitoring Status Report) and review.

Run MRLR to review MRR/POP.

Working the DOEI Report

ISIM can be run to bring in all ISIRs, regardless of type.

You can determine what happens when ISIRs are imported.

Import ALL ISIRs

Links ISIRs previously received but not linked.

− Reasons:

Student SSN not in Colleague when ISIR received.

Student SSN incorrect when ISIR received.

Batch Link ISIRs

Possible to link an individual student to his/her previously unlinked ISIR.

ONLY link if the SSN Match is a 4

MUST use a capitalized ‘Y’ in the Link field.

Individually Linked ISIRs

ONLY import if Match is a ‘4’.

eLinked ISIR

If POP/MRRs are included on the DOEI output report, run MRLR to see the students needing review.

MRLR can be run in the scheduler.

The report can be worked inside of Colleague.

PMRR shows the MRR/POPs for the student.

Can be accessed directly as PMRR or by detailing the Pell award, selecting PCOD and detailing Student MRRs.

Review PMRR

How to find Pell/DL Rejects.

Review the CODE Batch Error Report.

Run PCRR to check for Pell rejects at COD.

Run DCRR to check for DL rejects at COD.

Some rejects are viewable and repairable in Colleague.

PELL/DL REJECTS

Pell/Loan Reject is due to a Name/SSN/DOB reject at COD.

− Occurs when the student marries/divorces and does not change name at the institution.

− COD Reject Reason Code 011 and 012

− Not the same as a SAR C Name/SSN/DOBreject.

− Fix on FCDC AFTER reviewing ISIR for the correct Name/SSN/DOB combination.

eFCDC-FA COD Identifier Change

Enter ‘02’ in ‘Change Identifier to’ field. Next time CODE is run, the correct identifier will be transmitted.

Pell/Loan reject due to high school diploma.

− Student did not include high school graduate or GED on FAFSA.

− Student does not have high school diploma/GED on file at institution or does not have them.

− Student ability to benefit is based on receipt of AA/AS/AAS or BA/BS degree.

Citizenship rejects can be resolved by updating BIO with US or USA and a ‘1.’

Use to assign the same Comment for a group of students on STCM.

CAREFUL

− Use a savedlist.

− Enter student ids or names

− If run wide open will put the same note on every single student in Colleague.
