TRUMAN STATE OVERVIEW
Truman State University is 3-7 with wins over Pitt State, McKendree,
and Lincoln. Truman State started the season off with a pass first mentality.
Over the course of the season they have changed their offensive mentality to
run first and changed their Quarterback. They base out of 10 personnel
28%, 21 personnel 20%, 11 personnel 15%, 12 personnel 13% and 20
personnnel 10%.
At the Quarterback spot is now sophomore Conrad Schottel #14. He is
25/56/2 341 yards and 3 TD. He is 11/42/1TD on the ground. He is young
and does not feel comfortable in the pocket throwing. We need to force him
to throw. His now backup is Senior #17 JB Clark. He is a pocket passer. He is
157/308/13 for 1892 yards and 11 TD’s.
At the running back position is #21 Harnish Ayora. At 5’10 225, he has
113/517/4TD’s. Also in the mix is #1 Donald Harvey. He is 5’9 170 and has
66/406/4TD’s. Behind him I s#26 Will Mosquera. At 5’9 215 he has 43/150.
We cannot arm tackle this week. The fullbacks are #44 Jeff Klott 6 238 and
Justin Corcoran at 6 212. They have 0 carries. They are strictly blocking.
At the Wide receiver position is #18 Dallas Grier. He is 6’2 200 and has
44/538/4TD’s. Next is #83 Anthony Brown 6’1 200 he has 56/826/5TD’s.
The next threat is #16 Andy Mundwiller 6’1 205 he has 27/280/3 TD’s. They
are big but are not blazers. Corners we can press them and they will have
trouble getting off. TE’s are #15 Caleb Roberts 6’3 225 and #84 Chico
Orlando 6’2 230. They are blocking TE’s.
The offensive line has size but not speed. They do not have a stand out
offensive lineman. They do have a guy who tips off run/pass. Their RT #58
will tell you run pass before the snap. He is 6’5 280 and if its run his but is
high and weight forward. Looks at who he is blocking. We need to call out
run pass each play.
In conclusion we have to recommit ourselves to stopping the run. We
have to have an attitude about ourselves that we can and will stop the run.
We need to go out with confidence that we can get the job done. WE ARE A
GREAT DEFENSE AND WILL WIN THIS GAME. DO YOUR JOB AND MAKE
YOUR PLAYS.
