Poppy Fund Special Use Expenditures

Over$ 3 Million in 2010

• Legion Membership not a requirement.

• Assistance is offered direct – no prior approval

from Command.

• No $ limit on grants.

• Each Branch determines their own process of

approval.

• Any person who is serving or who has honourably served in the Canadian Forces and their dependents

• Merchant Navy personnel who have been awarded campaign stars or decorations and their dependents

• Ex-service personnel of Commonwealth countries and of allied countries, resident in Canada, and their dependents

• Medical training/research equipment/appliances

• Disaster relief – once declared by Federal or

Provincial government

• Drop in centers for seniors and

• Meals on wheels
