Augusta, Ga: Four well-known clini- cians highlighted a continuing educa- tion symposium on "Endodontics, 1975," held recently at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentis- try through the cooperation of the American Association of Endodontists and the dental school's department of continuing education.

The four clinicians were Jacob Freedland, Charlotte, NC; Noah Chivian, West Orange, NJ; Thomas P. Mullaney, Lexington, Ky; and Daniel B. Green, Richmond, Va.

Dr. Freedland presented a detailed description of basic principles and diagnostic criteria in endodontic planning. In a later session, Dr. Mullaney illustrated the difficulties encountered in perforations and varia- tions in canal anatomy. He also gave a complete analysis of the "Sargenti phenomenon."

Next, Dr. Chivian presented an audiovisual feature on surgical endo- dontic care, while Dr. Green con- cluded the meeting with a humorous informal discussion on success and failures in endodontic therapy.

More than 60 dentists representing Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky were registered.
