Tony Soares joined TBWA/Chiat/Day in October 2005 as Creative Director on the Sprint-Nextel Team—a fast paced group designed to serve Sprint in all media arts needs from retail, special markets, promotional and action marketing all the way through in-store design and events.

As CD of this group, Tony hired staff, approved all work and was directly involved in the creative product from a staff of 20 Art Directors, Writers and Designers. A well rounded team responsible for all components of Sprint’s marketing needs specifically retail, TV, DRTV, retail newspaper, out-of-home, in-store display, signage and guerilla marketing. Most recently he served as Digital Creative Director for all of Sprint at TBWA/Tequila.

Tony not only lead creative work on Sprint, but he also was Co-Creative Director on Embassy Suites Hotels, responsible for brand, promotion and digital advertising. Additionally Tony served as the Retail Creative Director on Hotel.com.

Prior to joining TBWA/Chiat/Day, Tony spent 5 years at Young and Rubicam and their Wunderman Direct Group serving as Associate Creative Director on AT&T Wireless, Cingular Wireless, AT&T Broadband, and the launch of Citi’s new Amex Citi Card including their new tagline, “With all we putinto it, there was no room for an annual fee.”

Tony’s experience in advertising also includes 9 years with DDB New York and its subsidiary, Griffin Bacal. At DDB, Tony served as Creative Supervisor for several years on New York Lottery Games’ Lotto, Lottery Subscription Retail, Take Five’s “Be Careful. There’s a good chance you’ll win” Campaign and the Instant Game campaign, “Money when you least expect it.”
