Program Mission
To contribute sustainably to the health and well-being
of children in resource-limited settings, and those
served by the Montreal Children’s Hospital, by establishing mutually-
beneficial partnerships with pediatric centres in
resource-limited settings, and by engaging in global health advocacy, medical
education, research, capacity-building, and knowledge translation.

Global Child Health Program The Global Child Health Program (GCHP), within the McGill Department of Pediatrics, is coordinated by a multi-disciplinary committee wishing to broaden the Montreal Children’s Hospital’s involvement in Global Health activities.
Established as a program in 2014, the GCHP adheres to the principles of sustainability and capacity building by working collaboratively with health care professionals at global partner sites to meet their self-identified medical education and research needs. Lessons learned from these collaborations also help to improve the care received by the large multicultural population served at our hospital, as well as vulnerable children living in our community.
