WELCOME TO OUR LADY OF GRACE
DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY
The Lord says to Thomas, "Blessed are they who have not
seen me, but still believe". It is by faith we believe in God
and believe all that God has said and revealed to us. In
learning the Creed we are taught what the Church proposes
for our belief. Faith does not come by memorizing the
Creed. Faith comes by transmission from one person to
another, from one community to another, from one
generation to the next. Faith is to be kept, to be lived and to
be professed. We are blessed when we do not lock up our
faith, but proclaim Jesus Christ, who is the Word of God made flesh and
perfect reflection of his Godhead, in order to lead others to faith in him.
POPE FRANCIS
Do not be afraid to live out Faith! Be witnesses of Christ in your daily
environment, with simplicity and courage. Above all, may you be able to
show those you meet, your peers, the Face of Mercy and the Love of God
who always forgives, encourages, and imbues hope.
IN THE FOOTS OF OUR LORD

• Divine Mercy Sunday on the second Sunday of Easter inspires us to rejoice
and trust in God’s merciful love, so ultimately expressed in the saving
passion and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. • Jesus’ gift of the Spirit to his disciples commissions and empowers them
(and all Christians) to be missionaries of God’s merciful redeeming love in
the world. • Our world needs God’s mercy. Persecuted Christians need mercy in action,
through the active protection of the nations. The oppressors of the world
need our merciful prayers, that they will experience a profound conversion
and reject their evil and turn from death to life. Jesus is the risen One who
subverts evil with mercy.
