Ancient olive tree of Vouves, is among
the 20 monumental olive trees of Crete
and probably is the oldest world-living
olive tree.
By using tree ring analysis has proven
the tree to be at least 2000 years old,
but scientists from the University of
Crete have estimated it to be around
4,000 years old.
Due to its special aesthetic, ecological
and historical characteristics the tree
was declared a natural monument in
1997.
From its branches, they cut KOTINOS ,
a wreath for the winners of Marathon, in
Olympics, provided also for RIO 2016

Terra Creta’s mostly awarded Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil PDO Kolymvari, comes from the Terra Creta centuries old family estate located between the Samaria gorge and the coast of Kolymvari. It has a rich fruity aroma and a characteristic peppery flavor with natural low acidity due to the particular care in cultivation, selection and milling of the estate olive crop. Acidity 0.3-0,5
