2006-07 Toyota AvalonFine Mesh Grille

1. Open the hood and push down on the centers of

the plastic push fasteners to release them. Removeradiator cover (save for modifications).

3. Unclip the lower edge of the factory grille and

remove it from the bumper cover.

PLEASE HANDLE WITH CARE! THE EDGES OF THE STAINLESSSTEEL MESH & GRILLE CAN BE EXTREMELY SHARP!

2. Remove the 10mm hex head bolts (one each side)

from the top of the factory grille. Remove the cen-ter push pin at the top of the grille (not shown).

5. Carefully remove the emblem from the OEM grille

by unclipping it.6. Clean the back of the emblem and install the sup-plied double faced tape (where shown).

WARNING:

4. Use masking tape to tape around the factory grille

opening 3/8 inside from the face of the bumpercover. Use flat or semi-gloss black paint and painteverything inside the taped factory grille openingthat will be visible through the mesh grille.

7. Peel off the double faced tape backing, align themounting tabs through the slots in the emblembacking plate and press the emblem firmly in placeto set the tape.

9. Carefully center the emblem assembly onto themesh grille and install a 1 O.D. by 1/8 I.D. blackplastic washer, stainless steel lock washer and a#8-32 stainless steel nut onto each stud (asshown) and tighten.

8. Trim the factory tabs protruding from the back ofthe emblem plate prior to installation onto the

mesh grille to keep the tabs from contacting themesh.

12. Once the lower mounting brackets are bent over,realign the modified radiator support cover, making

sure that the cover fits underneath the top mount-ing plate. Reinstall all factory plastic push pins.

10. Align the radiator support cover in place and markthe location of the hood latch assembly. Removethe cover and cut out the plastic in front of the

assembly in order to reinstall it once the mesh grille isinstalled.

11. Carefully align the mesh grille into place, then foldover the lower stainless steel mounting brackets tosecure the lower edge of the mesh grille.
