    RECAP: The Rainiers scored 3 runs in the top of the 5th inning to tie the scored 4-4, but it wasn’t enough as Tacoma fell to Las Vegas 5-6Sunday. CF Zach Shank (3x4, 3 R, 2 HR, 2 RBI) and 3B Patrick Kivlehan (2x5, RBI) combined to record 5 of the Rainiers 8 hits. Shanhis first career multi-home run game with with a solo blast with 1 out in the 3rd inning and a solo shot with 2 outs in the 6th. Starter  AndKittredge (4.0,3,3,1,1,2,HR) allowed 3 runs (1 ER) on 3 hits over 4.0 innings, but did not factor into the decision. LH Paul Fry (1.2,3,2,1

    RECAP: 1B D.J. Peterson hit 2 home runs and drove in 4 runs as Jackson defeated Pensacola 8-5 on Sunday afternoon. Peterson extenhis hitting streak to 16-games with his 6th career multi-home run game (last: 9/1/14 at Montgomery w/Jackson - 2x6, 2 R, 2 HR, 5 RBI). Ha 3-run blast with 1 out in the 5th inning and a solo shot with 1 out in the 7th inning.     SOUTHERN LEAUGE PLAYER OF THE MONTH: OF Tyler O’Neill was named by Minor League Baseball as the Southern League’s Plaof the Month for May. He is Jackson’s first player of the month since Nick Franklin in 2012. O’Neill hit safely in 24 of 28 games with 9 multcontests during May, batting .349 (38x109) with 17 runs scored, 13 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs, 25 RBI, 1 HBP, 11 walks and 3 stobases.     RECAP: The Blaze won their 6 consecutive games and are 14-5 over their last 19 games to improve to 28-28 as Bakersfield defeated SJose 7-5 on Sunday afternoon. SS Drew Jackson (2x5, R, 2B), 1B Kyle Petty (2x4, R, HR, RBI) and 3B Joe DeCarlo (2x4, 2 R, 2 HR, 3 Reach collected 2 of the Blaze’s 8 hits. DeCarlo recorded his first career multi-home run game with a 2-run blast with 1 out in the 7th inninga 2-run shot with 1 out in the 3rd inning.
