    RECAP: 1B Rich Poythress homered twice, including a walk-off home run in the 10th inning with 1out, as Tacoma defeated Tucson 6-5 on Thursday night. Poythress (3x4, 3 R, 2 HR, 3 RBI, BB)

    recorded the 7th multi-home run game of his career (448 G) last night and his 2nd this season (last:7/20 vs. Fresno). SS Carlos Triunfel (2x4) recorded the teams only other multi-hit game. StarterTaijuan Walker(5.0,6,5,5,3,8,HR) allowed 5 runs, including a 4-run 4th innings, on 6 hits in 5.0inning. Relievers RH Brian Sweeney (2.0,1,0,0,0,0), RH Carter Capps (2.0,0,0,0,1,0), LH BobbyLaFromboise (0.2,1,0,0,1,0) and RH Josh Kinney (0.1,0,0,0,0,0) combined to hold the Padresscoreless over the final 5.0 innings.     REHAB ASSIGNMENT: OF Michael Morse began his rehab assignment with Tacoma on July 22.In 4 games with the Rainiers he is batting .214 (3x14) with 2 runs scored, 1 double, 1 home run, 2RBI and 1 walk. Morse was placed on the 15-day disabled list on J une 22 (retro to 6/21) with astrained right quad muscle. Morse has seen limited action since suffering a right quad injury May 28vs. the Padres, appearing in 11 games with the Mariners from May 28-J une 21. For the seasonMorse is batting .251 (52x207) with 11 home runs and 23 RBI in 56 games with Seattle. OFFranklin Gutierrez began his third rehabilitation assignment with Tacoma on J uly 19. He went 1-

    for-3 with 1 double and 1 walk yesterday. Overall he is batting .226 (26x115) with 18 runs scored, 8doubles, 3 home runs, 20 RBI, 9 walks and 2 stolen bases in 28 games with AAA Tacoma.Gutierrez was placed on the 15-day DL on J une 25 with a strained right hamstring. He appeared in2 games (J une 22-23) after being activated from the disabled list on J une 22. Gutierrez was on thedisabled list from April 23-J une 21 with the same injury (right hamstring strain). Gutierrez wasbatting .267 (15x60) with 8 runs scored, 4 doubles, 5 home runs (3 leadoff HR) and 11 RBI in 18games (15 GS in CF) this season for Seattle.     RECAP: Starter Scott DeCecco allowed 1 run over 8.0 innings as Clinton defeated Wisconsin 5-1 on Thursday night. DeCecco(8.0,5,1,1,2,4) earned his 8th win of the season, which is tied for the most amongst all Mariners minor league pitchers this season. Heallowed a run in the bottom of the 1st inning, before holding the Timber Rattlers scoreless over the next 7.0 innings. RH Joichi Ogando

    (1.0,1,0,0,1,2) tossed a scoreless 9th inning to close out the game. C Tyler Marlette (3x5, 2B) led the LumberKings with 3 hits, while 2BKetel Marte (2x5, R, 2B, RBI), CFAlf redo Morales (2x5, R, 2B, RBI), DH Tim Lopes (2x4, 2B) and SS Martin Peguero (2x4, R, SB)each recorded 2 of the teams 14 hits. 3B D.J.
