th Meeting of the Eastern Regional Committee (ERC), National Council for Teacher

Education (NCTE) was convened on 27th

-29th

June, 2013 at Conference Hall, ERC, NCTE,

15, Neelakantha Nagar, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar. The Chairperson, Members and Convener as listed below

At the outset, the Regional Director welcomed all the members of Committee and apprised them

about the provisions of the NCTE Act, Rules, Regulations and Guidelines issued from time to time.

With the permission of Chairperson, Shri Chandrapida Neelap (Convener) presented the Agenda before the

Committee for its due consideration and appropriate decision.

1. The committee unanimously decided that the institution may reply in response

Regulations and guidelines issued by NCTE Hqrs. VTR, the Committee discussed the matter in detail and

observed as under:

As per VT report the institution is deficient as follows:

1. In science lab equipments/ Consumables are not available.

2. Language learning lab is not available.

3. Computer centre is not fully furnished.

4. Total no. of Titles less in library & No. of Educational Journals, Periodicals is not available.

5. Seating capacity in the library is 24 which is less than required 50 as per NCTE Norms.

6. Out of two class room (i) size of one class room is 690 sq. ft. & another classroom is not developed.

7. Multipurpose hall is 1900 sq. ft. which is less than 2000 sq. ft. as per NCTE Norms.

8. In essential data sheet size of ICT Resource Centre, Administrative Office & Canteen is not

mentioned.

9. Furniture is not available.

10. Teaching aids (Black board, audio visual aids, etc.) is not available .

As per complaint submitted by the institution against the VT experts:

1. The VT experts be asked to explain with regard to the complaint lodged against them by the

institution as well as some irrational observation made by the team.

In view of the above, the committee decided as under:

A clarification letter be issued to institution as well as VT experts to submit its reply within 21 days from the

issue of the letter before the Committee takes final decision

3. The committee has not accepted the request of the institution.

In view of the above, the committee decided to refuse the recognition of the institution for the applied course

B.Ed under section 14 (3)(b) of the NCTE Act 1993.

one is Gift Deed and another is Sale Deed. The Gift Deed is registered on 13.08.2012 i.e. after the

date of submission of online application for Plot No.– 226, 193, 21 measuring ( 16 + 16 + 12 ) 44

decimal. As per the sale deed the sale deed is registered on 13.08.2012 i.e. after the date of

submission of online application for Plot No.– 235 measuring 21 decimal. These land documents are

not acceptable as per NCTE Regulation 2009.

3. Till now four show cause notice have already been issued to the institution with regard to land

documents.
