A Time of Silence The Prayer of Confession
Gracious God, whether we are on the mountaintops this morning or in the wilderness, we are all looking for water to quench our thirst. God, the one who sees us, give us a drink for we are thirsty. Whether we are feeling ready for this new season or uncomfortable in returning to this place, we need to know that you are with us. God, the one who sees us, give us a drink for we are thirsty. Whether our hearts are full of joy or riddled with anxiety, we all need a word of hope today. God, the one who sees us, give us a drink for we are thirsty.
The Assurance of Pardon
Hear this good news from Isaiah 43: "I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? For I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, the people whom I formed for myself so that they might declare my praise." Friends, God gives us living water to quench our thirst. So believe the good news of the gospel: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven and made new. Amen!
Please stand to share The Peace of Christ The Peace of Christ be with you. And also with you. Please observe your neighbor’s colored nametag to determine the best way to greet them: Green - A Hug or handshake is OK; Yellow - Elbow bump only please; Red - Greet from six feet, please

The Invitation to the Table and The Great Thanksgiving The Words of Institution Music During Communion In Remembrance of Me Beryl Red A Prayer of Thanks
“Taste and see that the Lord is good.” Thank you, Lord Jesus, that in this ordinary juice and bread, you give us yourself. Fill us with your Spirit as
we seek to give ourselves to those in the ordinary places we inhabit this week. May the world see you in us. Amen.
We Go Forth to Serve

Singing in Worship
When the Christian assembly gathers to sing
in the context of wor-ship...the act of singing
praise, lament, thanksgiv-ing, and intercession to
God goes beyond the sur-face of the words, and
beyond the musical score. If the text and musical form are adequate to
mystery, to suffering, and to the deeper range of human emotions, the
human soul is available to the transfiguring grace of
divine life.
~ Don E. Saliers “Music and Theology”
But...what if we
can’t sing?
We can allow music leaders (the Choir, Organ
and Worship Band) to “be our voices” in singing aloud the words of hymns
and responses. As you listen, hum the melody
and sing the words in your head. You might find that
you experience a hymn text in a completely differ-
ent way—finding a new meaning or message in
words that are very familiar.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who is in
heaven, holy is your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done on
earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive
our debtors. And lead us into tempta-
tion, but deliver us from evil, for yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory
forever. Amen
