Operation Paperback is Back!
My name is Mick Marquez and I am a senior and am initiating Operation Paperback for the third year in a row! Operation Paperback is an opportunity to show our appreciation for the brave men, women and children who
make sacrifices everyday to protect us and our families by donating new or gently-used books. Your job is sim-ple… find books to donate, bring them to school, and drop them in the donation box at the front office!
Operation Paperback will last from October 17th - November 17th.
Last year, we raised over 1000 books and sent them all to 15 different U.S. military locations, including California, Kansas, Oregon, Mexico and even off the coast of Japan! So please, look around your house, find those books and bring them down to the front office! Thank you so much for your generosity! Mick Marquez

Pre-Sale x WRISTBANDS ($10 pre-sale) allow unlimited access to the 5 inflatables.
x CARNIVAL GAMES ($1) are 1 ticket each.
x KARAOKE is 2 tickets per singer, per song. If two kids are singing, that would be 4 tickets.
x DUNK TANK is 1 ticket a ball or 3 balls for 2 tickets.

Announcing…. The 2017 Latin
Flashcard Photo Contest!
To become a master of learning Latin vocabulary, a scholar must first become a master of using their flashcards! When a scholar creates a daily habit of practicing their vocabulary with their flashcards, they have set themselves up for success! There are so many places a student can do their flashcards: next to a sibling’s soccer field, in a car, in a house, with a mouse, they can do them here or there, they can do them anywhere!
In the spirit of creating flashcard enthusiasm, each 3rd -5th grader may choose to enter our contest by entering up to 3 photos that show themselves studying their flashcards in the most creative ways they can!
x Photo submissions must be printed this year and given to Mrs. Rightnour. The deadline is Monday, October 30th. Have fun and be creative!
x Winners will be announced and awards bestowed on Friday, November 3rd. Awards will be given in the following categories: Best in Show, Most Creative, Best Studying with an Animal Friend, Most Athletic Studying, Best Studying-In-The-Outdoors. Winners will be asked to provide an electronic copy of their photograph as it might end up in the Yearbook!
