    1.2 Displaying a PNR

    PNR display by Flight Number for Date Departure

    This entry allows the user to display a PNR by host flight and last name. The Sabre computer reservation system will automatically default to todays date if no departure date is used.

    *974-HAMMAD Item Component

    * Display

    974 Flight number

    - Dash

    HAMMAD Passenger surname

    The Sabre response will be a display of the PNR. Once participants have viewed the PNR, have them make the entry to ignore.

    If there is no existing flight with that number, the Sabre system will respond with #FLT#.

    If there is no passenger on the flight with the name requested, the Sabre systems response will be

    #NO NAMES#

    If there is not an exact match but similar names, the Sabre system will display a list of names from which you may display the PNR, by making the entry *1 for PNR 1 or *2 for PNR 2, etc.

    Note: PNRs will purge from the system 24 hours after the farthest dated segment in the

    PNR. The purged PNRs are captured off-line for future reference.

    For example, a PNR was originally booked with the following dates:

    1 2006Y 01MAY J LAXSFO SS1 635A 749A 2 2005Y 11MAY T SFOLAX SS1 655A 812A

    A portion of the itinerary is canceled and rebooked with a new date, shown below:

    1 2006Y 01MAY J LAXSFO SS1 635A 749A 2 2003Y 07MAY F SFOLAX SS1 630A 747A

    Notice segment two is now for 07MAY. Because 11MAY is the date farthest in the future, this PNR will purge 24 hours from this date.

  • Native Sabre: Displaying a PNR October, 2006 Confidential and Proprietary Sabre Inc. 3

    PNR Display by Flight Number for Future Date

    When travel is on a future date, the date must be included in the PNR Display entry.

    *974/21OCT-FORBERI Item Component

    * Display

    974 Flight number

    / Slash

    21OCT Departure Date

    The Sabre system response again will be the active PNR. The Sabre system will check the flight number, date and name as it does for date departures.

    PNR Display from City Pair Availability

    This entry allows the user to request a PNR Display directly from a specific line number within a CPA.

    **1-WELLINGTON Item Component

    **1 Display line number

    OA flight is the first segment in the itinerary.

    PNR Display by Departure Time - Host

    The purpose of this entry is to display a PNR for the host carrier by departure time. The departure date and city pair are included in the entry so the Sabre system knows how to search for the PNR.
