232 companies registered in the sector in Izmir and this represents about 17% of the total number of companies in Turkey.

8.188 people employed in the sector in Izmir. Size of the World HVAC-R Market 260 Billion USD (2011) Industrial HVAC-R sector with 103 billion USD resembles 40% of the total market. Exports of Turkey's HVAC-R Machinery grew by 7 times in the last 5 years. Market in Turkey, with $ 3.8 billion resembles 1.5% of the global market . Sector's turnover rate in Izmir among that of Turkey's is 30%. More than 20% of exports in the sector is carried out by companies in the Aegean Region. 69% of those firms are located in Izmir.
