“Ask The Harvest Master To Send Workers To His Harvest.”
Luke 10:2.
The Lord’s call often begins in the deepest recesses of the soul, the whispers of God. Our response to this call is prompted by personal witness. Parents, teachers, pastors and even the passing acquaintance encourage us to place our trust in God. Having experienced such encouragement, my own life was radically changed. “The light went ON.” When you see a person in need, share your gift of God’s love. In so doing you are ‘a worker of the harvest.’ Surely, there are numerous levels of involvement, but once we have shared the word of the Lord, our lives are never the same. Faith is beautiful and the shared word brings strength and beauty to our lives. Therefore, I am asking you, my fellow parishioners: does the word burn in your soul? If so, test it. Share it with another person. Your life will never be the same. You will be called by a new name: Disciple of the Lord. Applications are being accepted to the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to the Saint Charles Seminary. Interviews are ongoing for the Sacrament of Marriage. Also, there is a discernment process for singles, dedicating your whole life in a professional discipline you have trained for. Choose God, choose love, and the rest will follow.
God bless you,
Father Mike Gerlach

Prayer For
Persecuted Christians
O God of all the nations, the One God who is and
was and always will be, in your providence you willed that your Church be united to the suffer-
ing of your Son. Look with mercy on your servants who are
persecuted for their faith in you. Grant them perseverance and courage to be
worthy imitators of Christ. Bring your wisdom upon leaders of nations to
work for peace among all people. May your Spirit open conversation for those who contradict your will,
that we may live in harmony. Give us the grace to be united in
truth and freedom, and to always seek your will in our lives.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
